The Uganda police force says its officers will maintain law and order, as well as keep peace during tomorrow’s local government elections.
According to a statement issued by ACP Poly Namaye, the deputy Police publicist, and seen by this website, police intends to deal with any criminal acts intended on disrupting the process.
“We re-affirm that the remaining part of the electoral process will be peaceful and calm as enshrined in the constitution.”
Tomorrow, the country goes to polls to elect Chairperson, Directly Elected Councilors, & Women Councilors for District (LCV), Lord Mayor, Directly Elected Councilors, and Women Councilors for KCCA.
