National Resistance Movement NRM Campaign Task force spokesperson, Mike Sebalu has maintained his party won the 2016 presidential election legally.

Appearing on local TV station NBS, Sebalu said the election was free and fair, though there were a few delays in some areas.

Despite the delays, he praises the electoral commission for the job well done in preparing the 2016 criticized election.

Pinned by Muwanga Kivumbi, the Butambala MP on the alleged win of FDC’s Kiiza Besigye, Sebalu was quick to argue that; “He (Besigye) won at some polling stations but that wasn't enough to give him the majority.”

He added; “I would be surprised by Dr. Kizza Besigye's government where he only has 36 MPs.”

Sebalu announced that NRM victory celebrations that were initially planned for yesterday Sunday had been moved to Saturday 9th April 2016 at Kololo. He however did not give reasons for the sudden change in dates.
