The Uganda Police force officers have locked down the offices of Forum for Democratic Change-FDC party in Najjanakumbi, a Kampala suburb, forcing out journalists who has showed up for the weekly party presser.

Our reporter on ground indicates that led by Andrew Kaggwa, the Kampala South Regional Police Commander, heavily armed officers swung into action during a press conference that was being addressed by Harold Kaija.

The presser has in the past been addressed by Party spokesperson or any other leaders who are currently under preventive arrest for going against deputy chief Justice Steven Kavuma’s directive against party activities that were aimed at toppling the government.

Our reporter indicates that the angry officers kicked them out and locked the opposition party offices, before blocking the FDC officials and staff from leaving the party offices.

Andrew Kaggwa, the Kampala South Regional Police Commander declined to comment about the raid. By press time, police had deployed around the FDC party offices.
