The Kampala Capital Authority, KCCA management insists they have no idea why one of their own, Deputy Executive Director Dr. Judith Tumusiime threw in a towel late last week.
Tumusiime tendered in her resignation late last week to the appointing authority, President Yoweri Museveni but did not mention any reason as to why she had decided to quit her office.
She was appointed to the job in 2012 and her contract was renewed in November last year.
However the authority Spokesperson, Peter Kaujju says they do not know any reason as to why she could have left.
“Everyone has their own challenges at work, I cannot point out what made her to come to this decision,” he said.
He described her as a team player who guided the authority through her tenure and will be missed.
Her resignation comes at a time when political and technical wings of the authority are at war about the way to deal with street vendors.
