Atlas Da African is no doubt one of the best hip-hop artistes in Uganda. Atlas’s music is most appreciated by a few University students, high school and a spillover of Ugandans that are most notably wannabes.
Having returned to his motherland from Canada where he had spent most of his time right from Childhood, Atlas has endured a cumbersome spell in Uganda’s music industry and only managed to make 1or2 hit songs most notably a collabo with Chameleone and the late AK47, shining star.
Despite the challenge Atlas has come out to assure his fans and other competitors who thought that at one point that he might quit hip-hop by telling them that the genre runs in his blood stream and therefore there is no way he can do without his blood.
Atlas confirmed this when he was asked by one of his fans whether he at one point thinks of quitting rap music.
“I don’t do this for fame, neither for the props, I do this for culture. It’s a life style, rich or poor I will ever be contributing to the growth and wellbeing of hip hop” said Atlas
