Many rich people have told their stories of how they became rich and influential, but not many have told you tricks of how you can become rich and successful. This is where young businessman, Ham Kiggundu, differs from other rich people, especially those in Uganda.
In his book titled ‘Success and Failure based on Reason and Reality’ Kiggundu gives a narration any focused person can follow to the dot and cave his own journey to a successful journey. The books talks about making money, sustaining money and the risks that lead to failure of making money. His narration is one of reason and reality.
Now this motivational book is available in Luganda in all bookstores and online retailer, Amazon. Kiggundu said he was inspired to translate the book because some members of the public that are uncomfortable communicating in English requested for a favour and he obliged.
“I wanted non English speakers not to miss the message in the book,” he said.
The lawyer turned businessman says by writing the 154 pages of the book, he was answering questions many of his peers kept asking – how he has managed to be successful at a tender age of 34. And what started as a simple task, has turned out to contain prescription for many ideological illnesses.
Kiggundu says the book is not about him and the things he has been able to accomplish but rather about his countrymen and countrywomen to start thinking progressively and have a mindset change for the good of the country.
While launching the book last year, Ham said many Ugandans don’t believe in themselves and that they can be successful. “While many people look at me as a successful person, its discomforting to see that many Ugandans are economically not okay. The major problem I have come to realize is that most Ugandans have very poor mindset. They don’t believe in themselves and they don’t believe in success,” Ham told journalists when launching the book.
“I think if we all start thinking progressively towards success, we shall all improve our lives and develop our country as well. It is our obligation as Ugandans to develop our motherland Uganda and solutions to our problems should come from within us. If we await on outsiders to come develop our country, then Uganda shall never develop. I was born, raised, studied and attained all I have in Uganda. If I can do it, so can others, " he explained.
