Musician Spice Diana has criticized Ugandan comedians who disrespect their audiences during performances.
The popular singer explained that she stopped attending comedy shows because comedians often disrespect their audiences by deviating from their scripts and targeting individuals throughout the night. She attributes this behavior to a lack of creativity and preparation.
"I stopped going to comedy shows because of the disrespect. These comedians go off-script and focus on individuals all night long. They make the audience feel insecure, but I think it's because they lack creativity. They need to research and rehearse before performing," she stated in an interview with UBC television.
Spice Diana has called on comedians to respect their audiences for the betterment of the comedy industry and the arts sector as a whole.
