In a video circulating on social media, Apostle Grace Lubega, the lead preacher of Phanero Ministries International, is seen demonizing some Buganda names.
Apostle Lubega specifically mentions the names Ndawula and Nandawula, claiming they are satanic and related to sadness and death. He alleges that people with these names don't live long and suffer sudden deaths.
"In Buganda, we have names like Ndawula and Nandawula. These names refer to diseases and death. People with these names often fall sick and die within a few days. That's why it's rare to find a ninety-year-old named Ndawula," he said in the video.
Apostle Grace Lubega has since faced criticism from social media users who believe his comments were inappropriate and disrespectful to the Buganda Kingdom's culture.
Many have called on Grace Lubega to apologize for his remarks, claiming they are demeaning to not only Buganda but the entire African continent.
