Musician Sama Sojah is considered by many to be one of the most talented Ugandan artists. However, he hasn't yet received widespread national recognition.
The singer has since revealed that he is not under pressure to release music.
He explained that he creates classic, timeless music, which is why he isn't in the studio every day.
The singer explained that he combines his music career with other ventures like farming and animal husbandry.
"I am always around, but I'm not under pressure to release music. I make music, but I also do other things; I farm and raise animals. I only create classic music," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
The singer also shared his thoughts on copyright law, saying that music leaders should educate artists about it before demanding it from the government.
He argues that most artists don't understand how copyright works.
"I think we need to be ready for copyright. It's not that money will come straight to our pockets. So, artists should be taught how it operates because they are going to be affected more than they are today if they don't acquire the knowledge," he added.
