Moses Golola will take on America’s Richard Abraham in a World Inter-continental encounter fight at Speke Resort Munyonyo. The fight that is slated for tomorrow is Golola’s dream fight.
“The American is finally coming down- this is not an affair,” Golola, said .
Uganda’s number one kickboxer has hosted many fighters but he admitted none comes close to Abraham’s status. The American’s impressive record stands at 36 wins from 45 fights. He has drawn seven times and lost two bouts.
The motor mouthed kick-boxer hopes to use the middleweight intercontinental fight against Abraham to popularise the sport among corporates in Uganda.
Abraham (45 – 36 w - 17K.O.s – 1 draw – 2 losses) is more experienced than second ranked Golola (22 – 18 w – 11 K.O.s – 1 draw – 3 losses) but the Ugandan insists it will be his opportunity to beat an American.
“I am a one man army and I am going to fight Obama. This is America versus Uganda. This is my opportunity to defeat an American. This is not a joking subject,” Golola yelled in his typical signature tune.
While launching the fight, Golola said that the contest is meant to change the mind set of Ugandans, who think that kickboxing is for low class sports fans.
“It is a dream come true for me and my coach.” said the motor-mouthed fighter. “If I continue working hard, I think I stand a chance of beating Abraham,” Golola assured his fans.
