On Thursday May 4, UCU and UPDF Basketball Samora Michael spent a good part of the evening with his family. At around 11:00pm, Michael linked up with friends as they walked to town as he was coming from training at the Logogo Indoor stadium, he however could not return home to see his wife and baby.
Samora Michael's wife had just given birth on this week on Monday.

Last night at around 11.00 PM, the UCU and UPDF Basketball families lost one of our own, Samora Michael in a fatal accident on Lugogo Bypass, Kampala. Samora for those who don't know him, played with UCU JV and UCU Canons before going on to join the UPDF Tomahawks. He was a very jolly and delightful young man and most importantly, a wonderful teammate. Samora was so passionate about UCU Basketball that 4 years after he left the Canons, he still held on to his UCU Basketball/Sports ID by which he was identified. We celebrate his life and mourn with the family. May the Lord rest his soul in eternal peace.
