Manchester City may have to spend £155m to sign Paul Pogba. Juventus want £80m for the 22-year-old France midfielder, who wants a five-year contract at £250k-a-week - which is £65m - plus a signing-on fee of £10m. (Daily Star Sunday) 

Alternatively, City will pay £150m up front for Pogba, Liverpool's England winger Raheem Sterling, 20, and 23-year-old Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsburg. (Daily Mirror) 

Arsenal and Real Madrid are also interested in Sterling, with former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez keen to make the England international one of his first signings at the Bernabeu. (Sunday Express) 

But the Gunners have been priced out of a move for Sterling with the forward's asking price potentially rising to £75m. (Evening Standard) 

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo could join Paris St-Germain for £87m but the move for the 30-year-old Portugal forward hinges on the French champions selling Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. (Sunday Telegraph) 

Manchester City want to sign Angel Di Maria from neighbours Manchester United - but they will face competition from Paris St-Germain, Bayern Munich and Barcelona for the 27-year-old Argentina midfielder. (Sunday Times - subscription required) 

Meanwhile, United may try to bring Spain defender Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford for £20m as Real Madrid will not meet his £10m-a-year wage demands. (Daily Star Sunday) 

United manager Louis van Gaal United has also made enquiries about Valencia's Argentina defender Nicolas Otamendi, 27, who is valued at £35m by the La Liga club. (Sunday Express)

West Ham striker Andy Carroll, 26, has been offered a return to Newcastle - on a pay-as-you-play deal after an injury-hit spell at Upton Park. (Sunday People) 

Chelsea are close to signing 29-year-old striker Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan from Ligue 1 side Monaco, despite the Colombia international's underwhelming campaign at Manchester United. (Sunday Telegraph) 

Roma want to sign Manchester City's Bosnia striker Edin Dzeko but the Blues want £20m for the 29-year-old. (Mail on Sunday) 

Manchester United have agreed a fee for Hoffenheim's 23-year-old Brazil midfielder Roberto Firmino. (Talksport) 

Meanwhile, United have identified Netherlands goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen, 26, as a replacement for Spain international David De Gea, with the Ajax player moving to Old Trafford this week. (Sunday Mirror) 

Jose Mourinho is close to signing a new four-year contract at champions Chelsea which will make the 52-year-old the best paid manager in the Premier League. (Sunday Times) 

Hearts director of football Craig Levein says the club are looking to add four new players to their ranks for their Premiership return next season. (Herald Scotland) 

Sunderland want Arsenal full-back Carl Jenkinson, 23, on loan. (Newcastle Chronicle)
