Arsenal are prepared to pay Petr Cech £100,000 a week making him their highest-ever paid goalkeeper.
According to the Mirror, Arsenal are moving ever closer to completing the £10million signing of the Chelsea stopper in a deal the sees him receiving higher wages than what he currently earns at Stamford Bridge.
Cech as expressed his desire to stay in London having settled in the city with his family but wanted to a summer transfer away from the club in search of first team football and, speaking to Metro exclusively, former Arsenal keeper David Seaman believed Cech would find that with the Gunners.
Wojciech Szczesny is expected to offer some rivalry to Cech having lost his first team place to Ospina after being caught smoking by Arsene Wenger last season. While current No.1 David Ospina on the brink of a move to Turkish side Fenerbache.
