Mirinda, a leading brand of Crown Beverages Limited, has today announced that it will host a series of comedy shows in partnership with some of the finest comedians between March 24 and 27 in Kampala, Entebbe and Mukono to bring a fun-filled experience to comedy fans.

The shows will feature Kapale, Mariachi, Kere Kere, Snake and Zolo, Amooti and the New Amarula Production, Madrat and Chiko, Swengere Comedians and guest music performances from Ziza Bafana, King Saha, Sheebah and Winnie Nwagi.

According to Mr Timothy Luzinda, the Mirinda Brand Manager, the shows are meant to bring on the Easter cheer and also bring to life the brand thematic “Free Your Fun side” while providing an interactive platform between the brand and its fans.

“Mirinda has invested massive amounts money in the past 4 years in growing comedy in Uganda. These planned shows are a continuation of our strong commitment to the comedy industry in Uganda.” Luzinda said.

Jonathan Kyeyo, the organiser of the shows and also proprietor of Laftaz Comedy lounges in Kampala and Jinja, assured fans of a great exciting experience worth their time and money.

“We are going all out for all the three shows. We have come a long way in the comedy industry and much of our success is attributed to the continued support we get from Mirinda and our fans. In appreciation of this support, we will bring them some of the best musicians and comedians in Uganda who will deliver great performances and content. We are certain that our fans will not be disappointed,” Kyeyo said.

Entrance fee to the show in)  Mukono (Satellite beach) and Kampala (Laftaz Comedy Lounge) will go for shs10, 000 ordinary and shs20,000 VIP while in Jinja (Dam waters) entrance will be shs10,000 for adults and shs5,000 for children. All entry fees come with an ice cold Mirinda at the entrance.
