Kayunga Woman Member of Parliament, Aidah Nantaba expressed her disappointments with some media houses that have resorted in spreading false rumours and causing unnecessary alarm over the death of Ivan Ssemwanga.
“As government, we have lost an investor. He has been bringing back revenue to Uganda and he has been looking after disadvantaged people. On the other side, I am disappointed with some media houses and journalists who have only reported about the social life ignoring his investments. You wake up to read about the women Ivan has been hanging out with, the snakes that he worshipped for money and all that. They don’t write about good things he has done” Aidah said.
She later added that by the time Ivan died, he had called upon the government to pattern with him to do developments in Kayunga. We were still in stages of negotiations and the Lord has now taken him away. We blame ourselves because we didn’t take his call as a matter of urgency.
