American rapper Akon's wife, Rozina Negusei jetted into the country over the weekend to promote Uganda’s music and fashion with a $12m investment.
“Looking for a hub, #Africa Hollywood home; if we do entertainment whether movie, music award, every year, Uganda can become the home of the entertainment industry,” she said soon after landing in Kampala.
She has since met President Museveni and other top officials to discuss a way forward.
However, a section of fans who are suspected to be affiliated with the opposition doesn't wish her to inject money into Uganda's economy.
They have taken their rants to social media begging her to reverse her decision because Uganda is not secure for investment.
