Dr. Joseph Muvawala, the Katukiiro of Busoga Kingdom, has officially introduced Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi, daughter of Stanley Bayoole, the former mayor of Mayuge town council and the current RDC of Bulambuli district, as the Inhebantu of Busoga. The unveiling took place at Busoga Headquarters in Begembe, Jinja City.
The Katukiiro also announced that a holy matrimony will be held for the Kyabazinga and the Inhebantu at Christ Cathedral Bugembe in Jinja City.
After a traditional ceremony held at the ancestral home of the new Inhebantu in Mayuge Town Council, Mayuge district, Dr. Joseph Muvawala convened a press conference at Busoga Kingdom Headquarters, where he introduced the Inhebantu as the spouse of the Kyabazinga.
Dr. Muvawala mentioned that a cultural function will be organized to initiate Her Royal Highness Jovia Mutesi into her new role. The Katukiiro, accompanied by other Busoga Ministers, informed the media at Bugembe headquarters that the royal wedding is scheduled for November 18.
The Katukiiro emphasized that the Inhebantu is a significant addition to the life of Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV, filling a missing link in his royal duties.
