Politics has continued to attract musicians, with the latest one being Nina Roz.
Speaking in an interview with a local television over the weekend, Nina Roz revealed she would be joining active politics come 2026.
She will be contesting for a parliamentary seat and wants to see change in government. She explained that Bobi Wine is her inspiration and she will do anything to witness a fundamental change.
"Of course, I am of Bobi Wine’s generation; you have to expect me to be the voice of the voiceless. I want to be there for my people and fight for change. I joined the struggle to seek change because, in all the years I have lived, I have never seen change in my country. As a young person, I also want to live in a country that I am proud of. I do not want to lie to my fans that because they see me looking good, everything is good," she explained in an interview with Sanyuka Television.
Nina Roz has lately been a common face at the offices of the National Unity Platform, and chances are high she will use its ticket in the upcoming elections.
Nina Roz hails from Sembabule, and reports indicate she will be contesting for the Woman MP seat in the same district.
