Popular media celebrity, MC Kats decided to share his story about living with HIV. It all started back in 2019 when he surprised everyone by revealing his status at a celebrity event.

Things got serious when he ended up in a London hospital with a bad case of pneumonia. He says the doctors thought he was crazy at first, but he insisted they treat his HIV too. That's when he decided to go public.

“Whoever said I was mad, I was taken into a body machine, a brain-machine and all other processes until the white man said I needed to be discharged because I didn’t have any problem. I refused and told them how they wasted my time because I have pneumonia and AIDS and that it’s what they should help me with.

So base your abuses towards me knowing I’m on international medication. Abuse me if you can afford me. If you can afford a hospital in London, go treat your AIDS, cancer, and diabetes in London and call me back. That’s the truth. I have all these things documented and I will put them on social media. I told the white man now that you know I’m not mad, treat my HIV and Pneumonia. I’m on medication and I’m not even drinking.” Kats said.

In a recent YouTube video, Kats explains how he actually contracted the virus back in his college days. He admits to skipping classes to party with girls at nightclubs, and that risky behavior ended up costing him his health.

But here's the inspiring part: Despite finding out over a decade ago, Kats hasn't let HIV stop him. He's been on medication, hasn't touched a drop of alcohol, and continues to chase his dreams with all his might.

In fact, for the past three years, Kats has become a champion for others living with HIV. He talks openly about the disease, encourages people to take their meds, and shows the world that you can live a full life with the virus. He's even teamed up with different organizations to spread awareness and support.

All this hard work fighting stigma paid off. Back in 2021, Kats was even recognized as a champion against HIV discrimination in Uganda!
