Dancehall artist Ziza Bafana believes that Ugandan artists are more talented than their Nigerian counterparts.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Bafana explained that the government is the reason Ugandan artists have not advanced as far as they could. He said they could have achieved much more if the government had implemented mechanisms to support them.
He called on the government to empower artists by opening studios and providing equipment to aid production.
"We are the most talented people, even more so than Nigerians, but the government doesn’t recognize that. They need to empower us by setting up studios and providing sound engineers to assist in production and other areas," he said.
Bafana believes that if the government streamlined the music industry, it would improve productivity and efficiency.
