Musician Joseph Mayanja, also known as Jose Chameleone, recently returned from the USA, where he had been receiving treatment for the last three months.
The singer had earlier revealed he quit alcohol and other drug-related substances.
Chameleone now says he has started a new chapter in his life and has left behind the wrongdoings of his past.
He describes himself as a renewed person, full of grace and kindness. He asked everyone to concentrate on his good deeds, as he will be following that path in his new life.
"I understand the power of God. He is the reason I am alive today. I have since started a new chapter in my life, and I want everyone to choose the good side of me," he explained.
Jose Chameleone maintained that his health condition is on the right track at the moment but says he will be going back to America for a review in a few days.
