Audio producer, sound engineer, and songwriter Skills On The Beat passed away this morning at Kirudu Hospital in Kampala after a long battle with drug addiction.
Mudra has revealed that the producer had a blood clot in his lungs and was unable to raise money for treatment in time. He claims that the doctors demanded money before they could begin treatment.
With this experience in mind, Mudra urged artists to work hard to impress their families but also to practice financial discipline, advising them to start saving for the future.
"He passed away this morning at Kirudu. He had a blood clot in his lungs, but it's sad that they couldn't treat him in time because he had no money. This is a message to all artists: work to impress your family, not just others. Save money for your future," Mudra said in a video circulating on social media.
Skills On The Beat is famous for producing songs like Akatijo, Cheza Maama, Byafaayo, and Squeeze, among others.
