Pherrie who quit the Industrial Area based nightspot with emotional send off party at the club on Saturday is heading to the United States to stay with her man Abdul Lubwama. The couple married at the end of last year. Pherrie spared time to thank former workmates, bosses, and friends and below is her emotional goodbye statement:
The time has come for me to pass on the torch..and I must, must say THANK YOU! I thank you all who have chosen Guvnor Uganda as your No.1 night club destination through the years. Thank you for your support and die hard dedication… We appreciate you and continue to promise you nothing but the best.
I must say thank you and give my appreciation to a very special man, for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to be a part of this very crazy madness called night club entertainment. Mr. Charles Lubega, the cheif, the King, the best boss one could ever have. Not so many things in this world come close to being perfect, but he sure does. I know he is not a fan of being put on the spot, but today I must put him on the spot. I thank him and may God continue to bless him and reward him abundantly for being a mentor, a great friend, a father, an employer, and a great human being to not only me, but to everyone that crosses his path. King, you are undoubtedly the best.
I must also take this opportunity to appreciate MULIN…Mr.Isaac Mulindwa, mentor, friend, cousin…without u, there is no way I would be this fearless, independent go-getter woman…I was soooo spoilt beyond recognition, 100% daddy’s girl, until u took me under ur wing and showed me what it meant to be independent and successful at ur own accord and not on your parents accord. So thank u for giving me the best head start in the game.
I want to thank the Guvnor mgmt team led by the General Mgr Nicholas Ndirangu….who with his very tough exterior but the softest heart taught me the “what not to dos” and “what to dos” in the night club industry. Paul Mukasa Ssentongo, Tech mgr, the man behind the amazing sound, great ambiance and that extra extra cold AC that Guvnor offers you . Haroon Muwonge, our mkting mgr and incharge of security although many of u prefer to call him “kayuya” …it is him who says no or yes to you at the door. LOL.
Bobman and Mark, for the smooth running of every activity at the club on a daily, Tshaka Jazz Safari and Joseph Kato, the countless times uv offered a word of advice, comfort, encouragement and for non stop laughs we have shared…In each one of you, i have found a friend, a brother. Thank you for embracing me as the only female(ur princess :-p) on the team. Its been a great pleasure and honour being a part of this amazing and supportive family.
To the entire staff, barmen, waiters/waitresses, housekeeping, accounts and security, I Thank you…because with all our hard work together Guvnor remains ALIVE! Mbalire Bembamusota thank you for keeping me sane on our crazy busy nights and keeping our reservations afloat! And last but definitely not least…the men behind the turntables…our DJs and MC for keeping you all on ur feet all night long!
Lastly, I cannot forget to say THANK YOU, to this incomparable lady, the pioneer of Night Club PROs….Mama D Laris, Miss Lindah Mukasa Charania of Club Silk. Lisa thru you I have learnt what it takes to be en remain in the game…through u I learnt to grow a tough skin especially with this very cruel media and tabloids.. u have taught me to dust myself off when I fall and fly again, thru u I learnt I couldn’t please everybody, some will love some will hate….so I thank you.
Finally, i introduce to you the new PR and Guest Relations Mgr, Natasha Kayondo…..I trust and guarantee that she will take great care of you and carter to your every clubbing need!
I thank you all and appreciate you for having embraced me as your club Guvnor PR and Guest Relations Mgr.
For all those that did not have a good experience or encounter with me, please forgive me, it was never personal…it was part of doing my job diligently.
