MTV MAMA best video of the year nominee Singer Bebe Cool has finally accepted that his recent loss at the MAMAs has given him real-life lessons.
He made the confession at Protea Hotel on Wednesday during a press launch of his Friends of Bebe cool concert.
“Of course, if I won, you would have known the real Bebe Cool. Following the loss, I talked to Dr (Chameleone) Sauti Sol and did some soul searching.
“These awards (BET, MTV awards are a business. You have advertisers like MTN Nigeria, Glo and Vodacom South Africa) running ads on these shows. If Ugandan corporate companies don’t advertise on these platforms, as artistes, we can only do so much.
He further said, the awards made him realize that there is a lot that needs to be done differently about Uganda’s music industry which he intends to before the year ends.
