Every night promises a different experience with themes that cater to the needs of different music enthusiasts’ i.e the “Old Skul Nite” every Wednesday, “Blame it on the so UG” every Thursday after midnight and the “I Love Fridays” that ushers revelers into the weekend. The latest addition to their theme nights is “Band Night” which will officially be launched by the Janzi Band this Thursday, 26th November.
Janzi Band is an extremely talented Afro Fusion, contemporary and world music group comprised of seven members; James Ssewakiryanga (band leader/founder/vocalist), Abraham Ssekasi (guitarist, harp player and percussionist), Trevor Muhumuza (music director and keyboard player), Valeur Kalinda (drummer), Brian Gideon (lead vocalist and guitarist), Allan Okia (bass guitarist/music producer), Joseph Kizito (saxophonist) and Hakim Kiwanuka (percussionist).
“Music is food to the soul. It crosses barriers and can connect people. Band night is for all our patrons who are into Live Band Music. I urge everyone to come and watch the eccentric Janzi Band live in action.” Says Musango Tony, the bar owner.
