A group of Karamojong elders from Rupa Sub County in Moroto district in Karamoja sub region are asking where Chameleone put the money that was supposed to avail them with boreholes and pit latrines.
The elders recently complained in one of the main dailies that when the singer went to shoot a video for his “Wale Wale” song in July 2014, he promised them benefits.
According to Mzee Peter Lokol, the elders were ferried to Kampala to witness the launch of the album at Serena Hotel in anticipation that Chameleone was going to get the money for charity to rehabilitate Karimojong region.
The launch was attended by First Lady and Karamoja Affairs minister, Janet Museveni, as the chief guest.
Mathew Lokwang, another elder warned that any person soliciting money for his personal gain using Karimojong will one day pay.
"Chameleone has been cursed, and even he has entered in the bad books of our gods, and he should be careful with K'jongs, he may have problems", source said
The elders have since released a notice that they would never be photographed again in selfish agendas.
We have also learnt that the elders have banned Chameleone never to step in their region until he fulfills the promises, if not he will face !
