The police in Kampala have arrested at least 210 members of the notorious Kifeesi who have been terrorizing Kampala residents.
The district police commander (DPC) for Kampala, Aaron Baguma says they were arrested from channels down town Kampala.
However, Baguma argues that these are organized criminals and that the group, ‘Kifeesi’ does not exist.
“I want to tell you that there is no Kifeesi as they are saying nti Kifeesi, these are organized criminals. We have ever been arresting them and we shall continue arresting them.”
Baguma adds; “These are habitual offenders, we arrest them, take them to court, go back to Luzira. I have arrested more than 100 before, and the same group we have arrested them. So we shall not get tired of our operation.”
“I want to inform the public that this word Kifeesi may be people are using it with their selfish interest.”
He denies that police has any dealings with these criminals and asked anybody who has any evidence of this to go to the police offices and report, and the force will take action.
