Swangz Avenue announced this morning the postponement of their #RoastAndRhyme event, scheduled for today, February 23rd, at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo. Despite full preparations, including stage setup and artist sound checks, the event is off.
According to a press statement by Swangz Avenue CEO Julius Kyazze, "last-minute challenges with the venue" and concerns for "safety and overall experience of partiers" forced the rescheduling.
Swangz Avenue apologized for the inconvenience, assuring ticket holders of a new date and an extra free ticket for a friend at the rescheduled event.
The official statement read: "We deeply regret to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we must postpone the much-anticipated Roast & Rhyme event, originally scheduled for today, Sunday, February 23, 2025... last-minute challenges with the venue and concerns for the safety and overall experience of our valued guests have made it necessary to reschedule."
The statement continued to explain: "A new date will be announced soon... Your tickets remain valid... all current ticket holders will receive an additional free ticket to bring a friend along to the rescheduled event."
Julius Kyazze concluded, "We recognize the disappointment this may bring, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience... We appreciate your support, and we promise to come back bigger and better for you."
