Body of a young lady has been found in Nyanama this morning, a week after the last victim was found. Police spokesperson, AIGP Asan Kasingye is holding a press conference, where he is expected to address the latest murder.
While more than 20 women have been murdered in Entebbe and Nansana alone, in the past 2 months, the president is yet to address the killings that are now termed as “Serial Murders” by the law enforcements.
Recently, the IGP, Gen. Kale Kayihura has been camping in the area and security intensified, but this has not stopped the murders.
Now, several Ugandans are complaining, that instead of the President holding nationwide talkshows about article 26 of the constitution, that talks about forceful land acquisition by government, he should instead first visit the concerned areas of Nansana and Entebbe, speak to the locals and get to the root cause of the cause of deaths.
Denis Namanya, a trader in down town Kampala told this writer, that in other countries, when a tragedy befalls a certain area, the president makes such an issue a priority, but in Uganda it’s the opposite.
Museveni today Monday starts his countrywide tour to speak about the infamous constitutional amendment bill 2017. The bill seeks to amend article 26 of the constitution to provide for the compulsory acquisition of land for government projects.
Article 26 of the Constitution provides for the right of persons to own property and how it can be acquired by government. But government argues that the provision has slowed down the implementation of key project resulting from compensation disputes.

He has in the past said issues of security fall under the ministry of internal affairs, security ministry and Police
