Residents of Lubya, in Kampala are in panic after a body of an unidentified man was found dumped by the roadside in their area.
According to the Police, the incident happened at around 3:00 am this morning a few metres from Georgina gardens, in Lubya, Rubaga division..
Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire told the press that locals say they heard someone making an alarm at night but ignored him thinking it was one of the excited drunkards.
Owoyesigire further explains that the locals who had woken up to go to work discovered the body and alerted police. They could not recognize the body of the deceased.
Owoyesigire says; “We recovered a business card in the names of Joel Kasozi,a property broker near the body and an abandoned commuter taxi vehicle plate UBA 354E.”
The police publicist added that detectives have contacted Uganda Revenue Authority to ascertain the owners of the vehicle whereas others are following leads from the workplace found on the business card to connect dots that would lead to the killers and the body has been taken to Mulago for a postmortem report.
