Police in Kibaale has in custody a primary school teacher for defiling a 15-year-old child.
The suspect is Geoffrey Kirungi a teacher at Bugwara Primary school in Kicucura sub-county, Kagadi district. He is accused of defiling and impregnating a 15 year primary seven pupil at Devine Nursery and primary school in Kabasekende sub-county Kibaale district.
According to Esther Tumusiime Adeke the Kibaale district police commander, the suspect is a resident of Kabasekende sub-county Kibaale district.
Adeke says that the suspect will appear in court once investigations into the matter are complete.
In a related development, the school director of Kiduma Parents Nursery and Primary school in Kiryanga Sub County, Kagadi district Moses Byaruhanga Korondi is on the run on allegations of defiling and impregnating a 14-year old teenager girl.
The Suspect is also a parish councillor for Kiduma Parish in Kiryanga Sub County.
The child who was in P4 class has been studying at the same school.
