The Police are investigating circumstances under which a senior Four candidate of Everest College in Luwero Town Council died.
The deceased has been identified as sixteen-year-old Fred Ssekabira, a day scholar whose lifeless body was found lying on the ground under a tree a few meters from his parent's home near Kasana playgrounds around 5 am on Sunday morning.
It is also reported that two ropes were found at the scene with one tied around the deceased's neck indicating that he could have taken his own life or someone could have killed him and tried to cover up the murder.
According to Ronald Ndawula the Director of Everest College, the deceased had on several occasions threatened to commit suicide.
The Acting Savannah region police spokesperson Patrick Lule says that when police received information about the incident, detectives visited the scene and picked up the body.
They later handed it to medics who performed an autopsy and handed over the body to the relatives for burial. According to Lule, police are still treating this as a case of suicide.
He says that preliminary investigations show that the deceased has tried to take his own life severally.
