According to unconfirmed reports, Uganda’s top hip hop artists Navio is to promote Skateboarding in Uganda using his music videos. According to a source, Navio will attend the Mountain Dew Skateboarding Championship grand finale this Saturday at the Garden City rooftop with the aim of spotting the finest skateboarders to promote.
“He has always had the dream, and he thinks the Mountain Dew skateboarding championship grand finale this Saturday is the best opportunity for him to spot that talent. He will attend with a team to help him identify the best,” said a source.
The Mountain Dew Skateboarding Championship grand finale is due this Saturday August 27, 2016 at the Garden City Rooftop where the finest skateboarder in the country will be crowned and awarded a prize of 2 million.
According to Ms Berna Kizza the Mountain Dew brand manager, the Mountain Dew skateboarding championship team has been traversing Uganda for a month to sensitizing the youth on skateboarding as well as identifying skateboarders to participate in the grand finale and win prizes.
“We have been to all regions in this country and so far, we have identified more than 20 people to participate at the grand finale. These young people are very talented and we are looking forward to a very competitive final,” Said Berna.
