Comedian Patrick Salvador has asked the government to ease restrictions on comedy shows.
Salvador tweeted asking the health minister to allow comedians to organise events for only 200 people. He promised that they would adhere to SOPs set by the ministry.
Salvador said comedy will bring smiles on faces of many Ugandans who are depressed because of lockdown.
"Dear ministry of Health and Jane Ruth Acheng, can't we as comedians organise shows for 200 people and ensure we adhere to the SOP's. We might help bring some smiles to the people," Salvador tweeted.
