The Uganda Police Force has confirmed that they are investigating the case of Events Promoter Bajjo, whose real name is Andrew Mukasa Alfonso. Bajjo claimed that he has been receiving threatening phone calls and messages from mysterious people who are promising to end his life.
The threats apparently started coming in after Bajjo made a tweet attacking Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and praising National Unity Platform (NUP) president Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, also known as Bobi Wine. Bajjo maintains that all he said was true, but he does not understand why he is being hunted down.
Bajjo has stated that if he dies, people should know that he was killed by government officials. He reported the case to the police, and police spokesperson Fred Enanga confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
Enanga said, "Yes, we know about promoter Bajjo's complaints. He reported the case to police, and all we are doing is investigations to get to the bottom of the case."
