Musician Sheebah Karungi performed in Rwanda over the weekend.

Speaking about their music industry, Sheebah explained that it is still dormant compared to the Ugandan music industry. She noted that it is not as active as it is in Uganda and needs improvement.

She mentioned that they have fewer music shows and events than in Uganda, where over five concerts take place on the same dates in Kampala alone.

"I think the Rwandan music industry is not as active as our industry back home. Here, you can go through weekends without concerts. In Kampala, it's different because over five to ten concerts take place on the same day in Kampala alone," she partly said.

Sheebah added that the Rwandan music industry should foster competition, as it will bring about development, and she also called upon its artists to collaborate more with musicians from other countries.
