Comedian Sam Okanya, commonly known as Sammy from the defunct duo "Mighty Family," was granted freedom on Tuesday after months of incarceration at Luzira Prison.
The Buganda Land Court magistrate dismissed the charges against Okanya, allowing him to regain his freedom.
Okanya had been facing charges of common nuisance following his arrest in July this year during a protest against corruption involving the Speaker of Parliament, Annet Anita Among.
The NUP supporter expressed gratitude to his lawyers and everyone who worked tirelessly to secure his release.
