Afrigo band will celebrate  their 40th anniversary by touring United Kingdom.

Founded in 1976, Afrigo Band is the oldest Band and still the best organized group/ band to-date. Popularly known of their sweet songs the likes of Afrigo Batuuse, Akola Bwenkanya, Musa, Obangaina, Sikulimba (Olunderebu) and many more

The band will hold an Easter VIP show in London in two months’ time organized by Grajoh Talent Management and Public Relations Ltd where the celebrations are to be made.

As of 2014 all except two of the founding band members had died. The band recruited replacements whenever a member left or died. Members of the band, past and present, include:

  • Charles Ssekyanzi Mutagubya (RIP) - Vocalist, Trumpet player, Composer
  • Mansur Bulegeya Akiki (RIP) - Tenor saxophonist
  • Joanita Kawalya - Vocalist, dancer
  • Rachael Magoola - Vocalist, Dancer, Composer
  • Rashid Musoke (RIP) - member
  • Paul Serumaga (RIP) - Founder member
  • Godfrey Mwambala (RIP) - member
  • Tony Sengo (RIP) - member
  • Tonny Ssenkebejje - Solo guitarist (left)
  • Fred Kigozi (RIP) - member
  • Peter Bazanye - Vocals
