Miss World 2015 has been announced! Miss Spain was named the new Miss World. Mireia Lalaguna Royo, 23, beat out ladies from around the world for one of the most coveted beauty pageant titles!
Miss Spain looked like a princess when she was crowned. She wore a stunning blue dress that made her look like Frozen’s Elsa! From her long blonde hair to gorgeous blue eyes, Mireia is quite the beauty!
Miss Russia came in second place, followed by Miss Indonesia in third. Miss Indonesia, Miss Phillipines, Miss Jamaica, Miss Guyana, Miss France, Miss Lebanon, Miss South Africa, Miss Australia rounded out the top 10. Miss United States did not make the top 20.
Mireia is from Barcelona and has a degree in Pharmacology, and she plans on getting a master’s degree in nutrition. This is the first time a Spanish contestant has won Miss World. She was first in the pageant’s top model contest and won the hearts of everyone with her powerful speech.
“Just because I am beautiful on the outside does not mean I am not beautiful on the inside,” she said. “I think I should be the next Miss World because I believe in strong women, I also think I have something inside my heart that I always try to give the best of me. I also believe in Beauty With A Purpose and want to continue its legacy.”
