On the 9th of January, Flavia Tumusiime marked a one year anniversary in marriage after tying a knot with Andrew Kabura in a low key wedding in 2018. The two are expecting their first child together.
To celebrate, Kabura posted a one of their wedding pictures along with that of his mother and father saying that he had achieved a goal, emulating his parents.
Flavia on the other hand took to her YouTube channel to share lessons she has learnt in her one year of marriage.
She said she was very excited in the beginning but as she grew into the marriage she realized it’s not all bliss. There are bad days and equally good days. She said she had learnt to relax and treat all situations with the same energy.
Flavia says it is important to choose someone with whom you share the same values.
Communication she says is one of the things that keeps the relationship together. This she says is more than talking. But also the non verbal communication.
Flavia says she has learnt to be more tolerant to things. She accepts the flaws of her husband and treats him the way he is rather than judging him. In the beginning, Flavia says she was a perfectionist and wanted to do things a certain way.
