Mpaka Records artiste, Dre Cali fled the country to hide from his troubles. He was granted a 10 years visa to Canada where he had gone to perform.
Close pals say he is also planning to take his wife and child abroad.
It should be noted he is battling a court case with a record label named Wyse Technologies Limited which accuses him of breaching a contract he had signed in 2018.
Dre Cali joined Mpaka Record without terminating his relationship with Wyse Technologies Limited.
The management of the record label wants compensation of Shs 81M for losses incurred due to his double-dealings.
Wyse Technologies say they will not relent in pursuing justice.
“We shall sell his properties if he doesn’t surface to pay. His girlfriend has a wine and spirits shop along Salaama road, he also had a car. His mother has some land. We’ll go for them,” says a representative from Wyse Technologies.
Alternative sources say, he also bitterly split with his boss, Ykee Benda over money. By the time he left the country, the two were not seeing eye to eye.
