As fans continue to blow up social media listening to (and even acting out) Adele’s brand-spanking-new album, 25, the singer herself is preparing to celebrate a big victory.

Even though it’s only been out for a day, 25 is already poised to top ’NSYNC’s 2000 release No Strings Attached for the most albums sold in a week, Billboard reports. No Strings Attached sold about 2.42 million in its first week, and as of Saturday (Nov. 21), Adele’s new album is on pace to break 2.5 million by the end of the week.

Adele’s third studio album, 25 sold more than 900,000 copies in its first day of release through the Apple iTunes Store, industry insiders said. It was not made available to stream via Apple Music, Spotify or any other streaming service. As Billboard points out, No Strings Attached moved 2,416,000 units back in March 2000 — which 25 is on track to surpass.

But perhaps the larger question involves another superstar pop act: Taylor Swift. Will Adele’s 25 become the top-selling album of all of 2015, beating 1989, which currently has sold 1.74 million copies this year? That seems incredibly likely, based on the numbers we have so far. The album 25 will also likely debut at No. 1, something its precursor, 21, also did.

Hello,” indeed.
