Former State Minister for Finance Fred Omach, has been appointed new Board Chairperson for Uganda National Roads Authority, UNRA.
Omach replaces Angella Kiryabwire.
The new board was sworn in this morning by Justice Lawrence Gidudu of the High Court.
Mr. Laban Mbulamuko comes in as the representative from the Finance Ministry, Dr Umaru Bagampadde, member representing ERB/UIPE, Eng Samson Bagonza, member representing MOWT.
Others are Dr Joseph Muvawala, member Representing NPA, Mr. Laban Mbulamuko as member representing MOFPED, Mrs. Petra Sansa comes in as member representing private sector and Executive Director will represent UNRA.
At its inauguration, Justice Gidudu advised that Uganda should have its construction company.
“That we are gifting a lot of money to foreigners. It was stupid of Government not to think in that direction.”
