A fake cabinet list making rounds on social media has left the nation busy with names unexpected, getting big posts.
The list which spread like wild fire on social media, named NRM Secretary General as Minister for East African affairs, Dr. Diana Atwiine as minister of health, Abdu Katuntu as deputy Attorney General, and Aida Nantaba as replacing Frank Tumwebaze in the ICT ministry.
Also, Tumwebaze was made minister without portfolio, Kiwanda Geoffrey replacing his boss Kamuntu as minister of Tourism, former MP Simon Mulongo, named minister of security, Nsereko Muhamad, minister for Kampala, Kirunda Kivejinja replacing Simon Lokodo as minister of Ethics and Integrity, Andrew Martial, new blood in parliament replacing John Byabagambi as minister for Karamoja affairs.
What shocked the nation however, were appointments of Joseph Tamale Mirundi as minister of state for Kampala, Sarah Kagingo as state minister for ICT, former presidential candidate, Maureen Kyalya as minister of state for regional affairs, and Sheihk Muzaata Nuuhu as minister in charge Of Islamic Affairs.
However, government spokesperson Ofwono Opondo was quick to denounce the list as fake. In a tweet, OO tells cabinet hopefuls not to develop heart attacks.
“Ministers #UgCabinet don't have a heart attack #NoCabinetReshuffle. Ignore fake news on social media” his tweet reads.
