Afande Kirumira is dead. The assailants shot Kirumira together with an unidentified woman while driving within his Toyota Corona vehicle number UAJ 228V on Saturday night at around 8:00pm in Bulenga, Wakiso District along Kampala Mityana Road.
Photos shared on social media showed the outspoken officer was killed on the spot

The Uganda Police Force is greatly concerned with the assassination of ASP Muhammad Kirumira at Bulenga near his home at around 9:00pm. He was with a lady residents confirmed to be his wife. She too succumbed to bullet wounds and was pronounced dead on arrival at Rubaga Hospital

Museveni visits scene of Kirumira shooting; leaves with eyewitnesses
Museveni summoned the crowd and asked: “Bani Ababadewo (who witnessed the shooting)”, and two people raised their hands. Museveni got the two on the side and started interrogating them privately. He later drove off with the eyewitnesses.

“Unknown people are trailing me from one place to another, with no clear motive. I am trying to fix a solution. Inform one another. I have now connected dots on this surveillance on my movements, these are associates of some officers facing various charges in military court and possibly some friends of Kitatta camp.”
