City money bags Brian Kirumira aka Brian White will need to defend himself in a space of ten days in a case where he is accused of failing to pay a debt of US$ 160,000 (about UGX 500M).

The development was communicated by Justice David Wangutusi of the Commercial Division of High Court. The judge issued the orders this afternoon during the hearing of an application filed by Alex Binyenda, the Director International Security Systems Uganda Limited.

This stems from August 2018 when Binyenda dragged money bags White to court for alleged failure to clear his balance for the purchase of a Mercedes Benz Registration Number UBA 063J in May 2018.  , Binyenda, through his lawyer, Anthony Wameli claims that he sold the Benz to Brian Kirumira at US$ 260,000 (UGX 900M) who then made a deposit of US$ 100,000 and promised to clear the balance later.

However, the defendant’s lawyer, John Bulungu told court he needed ten days to allow him file defense of his client. He further disputed claims that the Benz in question belongs to Binyenda, saying it isn't in his names.

It was revealed that the Benz is registered in the name of International Security Systems Uganda Limited where Binyenda is the majority shareholder with 95 percent shares.

While the lawyer made this argument, in a sworn affidavit, Penninah Kereere Kirungi, a co-Director at International Security Systems Uganda Limited, says she is okay with Binyenda selling the vehicle.

Binyenda filed a case of vehicle theft to police prior to running to court, but the vehicle was tracked to Kirumira's packing leading to his arrest.
