The Police have launched a hunt for unknown assailants who stabbed a 14-year-old girl to death last night. Jane Nagayi who was returning home from her mother's shop in Masozi Village, in Kira Municipality, Wakiso district met her death at around 10:00 pm.
Area residents, who recorded statements at Kirinya Police station, indicate that the young girl screamed before she was attacked, but by the time the neighbors reached, the young girl was lying on the ground bleeding and a man was running towards the small forest.
The deceased has been staying and studying from Gomba district, but came to Wakiso District to spend the festive season with her mother.
Nagayi was rushed to Medics clinic Bukasa but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, the police is yet to establish the motive of the murder.
