Parents of a 12-year-old boy in Kanungu district who died in a suspected arson attack has asked Police to thoroughly investigate the cause of the fire that killed his boy.
David Tumuhimbise is the father of Rodgers Ahimbisibwe, a resident of Kabuga in Kihihi sub county, Kanungu district who was burnt to death at around 4PM on Monday afternoon.
According to Tumuhimbise, he left Ahimbisibwe at home to go and work in his garden only to receive information from locals that his house was on fire.
He rushed home.only to find his son burnt to ashes.
The deceased was dumb and lame. He could neither make alarm nor run for his dear life.
The Kigezi Region Police spokesperson Elly Maate, says they handed over the deceased’s body to Kihihi health center IV for postmortem and that police have already commenced investigations to find out who could be behind the suspected arson attack.
