President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to join 9 other heads of State for the burial of late former kenyan president Daniel arap Moi.
According to Kenya's nterior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho said the country was prepared to host 10 foreign leaders including; Uganda's Yoweri Museveni, Salva Kiir (South Sudan) an unnamed representative of the Queen of England, former Tanzanian presidents Benjamin Mkapa and Jakaya Kikwete among others.
On Sunday, President Museveni paid tribute to Moi at the sidelines of the African Union Summit in Addison Ababa.
"Stopped by Mzee Moi tribute desk at the sidelines of the African Union summit in Addis Ababa, to eulogise the true Pan-Africanist. My condolences and that of Ugandans to His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, the Moi family, and all Kenyans on the passing of this icon" he wrote.
There has been public viewing of the body from Saturday until today Monday. Today has been declared a public holiday in Kenya in honor of Moi.
Tomorrow Tuesday, a funeral service will be held before the burial on Wednesday. The funeral service will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium with President Kenyatta leading the nation in the memorial service.
The retired President will be accorded a State funeral with full civilian and military honours as per the law.
Over 30,000 people are expected at Kabarak grounds on Wednesday for burial.
