The Police in Kampala are yet to arrest thugs who appear in a CCTV Camera footage showing the murder of Rodgers Nasasira, a security guard at Good Neighbors a Non-Governmental Organization –NGO in Bukasa-Muyenga, in Kampala.
On March 4 2020, Nasasira was found dead by workmates who upon arrival at the office at around 7 am, found no one responding to calls at the gate as had been the norm. However, upon pushing the gate, they realized it had been open.
They would later call Police detectives from Kabalagala division who combed the area in an attempt of getting clues on who the killers were, in vain. The detectives pleaded with neighbors in the area whose buildings are erected with CCTV cameras and were able to retrieve it.
According to Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson, the investigating team has since acquired the footage showing how the thugs ransacked the premises.
The team is now reviewing the footage and Onyango says the suspects will be arrested in the near future.
